I would name the first one "The Card Up my Sleeve", the second one "Silent Symphony", and the third one "Perspective". For the second photo, I knew I wanted to do something with my friends faces, but I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do. I asked them to pose a bunch of different ways and finally decided on what I have below. For the first one, I was just messing around with cards and saw an ace, I liked the idea of emphasis on the ace and just eventually figured out what I wanted to do. For the third one I came down my schools stairs and saw the pole, I decided that it would be cool to have in a triptych. I think the second photo is a successful triptych, but the first one doesn't really feel like a successful triptych. The first feels like its somewhat disorganized and the photos go together, but not extremely well. The third one is a bit of a successful triptych, but the last photo messes up the vibe and idea I had in my head. The first Triptych uses colour with the purple light for elements of art. For principles of design the first one uses emphasis and pattern and repetition with the ace card being emphasized, and the back of the cards have a repeating pattern. The second triptych uses negative space for elements of art, there is unused space behind my friends. For principles of design there is use of unity, the photo looks complete and in harmony. The third triptych uses negative space for elements of art, there is unused space around my friends and the pole. For principles of design there is use of emphasis that is placed on the pole and my friends. There is also a pattern and repetition with the barrier in the background, it has many lines that repeat. The only edit I made to my photos was adding separating lines to make them triptychs. I am pretty satisfied with my editing skills, I did not really do much, just added lines. A strength I have when is comes to editing is that I can make edits look pretty natural if that's what I'm going for. A weakness I have when it comes to editing is that I don't do it often, and get confused using editing software/platforms very easily. If I could redo the project, I would get my first few done quickly but still good and not rush my last one. I would use my time better and really think about what I want to do with my photos. I am improving in my work habits, at the beginning of this course I really struggled to get my work in, never mind on time and it was incomplete a lot of the time. Now, I have started using my time better, answering questions, and getting my work in.
